The Trauma Book Book Club
The Monthly Membership that Provides You with the Science-Backed Education and Practical Real World Tools Essential to Healing Trauma
If Living with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) has left you:
➡ Hopeless and bleak
➡  Unable to leave unhealthy relationships
➡  Afraid all the time
➡  Low self-esteem, self-love, self-compassion, self-worth, self-acceptance
➡  Stuck
➡  Have a hard time protecting yourself
➡  Without a clear sense of self
➡  Insecure in relationships
➡  Difficulty with motivation
➡  Confused about your dreams and passions
➡  Having everything you want, but are still defeated
➡  Waiting for the next shoe to fall
Then you’ve come to the right place...
Not only have I experienced all of these and have come out on the other side, but I have also worked with and taught hundreds of clients how to apply the knowledge from trauma books to their lives. You don’t need to do this alone anymore.
CPTSD is learned, therefore it can be unlearned. I will help you do that by teaching from these books in extremely specific, yet down-to-earth terms and give you all of the tools you need along the way.
My classes address 7 essential requirements* to healing trauma:

Safety
I make the membership safe by creating boundaries, no chat feature during meetings, no cross talk, anonymity if desired (most Advanced Bitches keep their screens black for that reason), participation is not necessary.
Promoting Mastery Experiences
I teach tools, offer coaching and use personal stories and examples as a way to model that you too can create mastery experiences in your own life and give you the framework to do so.
Repair of Sense of Self
From the very beginning I have always taught the keys to self-esteem, self-love, self-compassion, self-efficacy etc. is that you MUST have a self first. Throughout all my classes I emphasize this as a lynchpin of healing trauma and the books I choose reinforce this.
Respond to the Current Demands of Your Life “instead of recreating the traumatic past behaviorally, emotionally and biologically.”
Learning about the neuroscience of trauma, toxic traits and dynamics, understanding your trauma responses, helps with this process. Another way of saying this is that through the membership I help you to become more you so that you can live as fully as you possibly can with CPTSD.
Self-Soothing
All of the books we’ve read in the Trauma Book Book Club are all in service of self-knowledge, self-understanding and self-awareness and that in and of itself can be self-soothing (you can’t self-soothe if you don’t have a self). For me, the knowledge that the consequences of my CPTSD aren’t my fault and aren’t inherently me is self-soothing. In the archive are classes on writing fairy tales, self-compassion and embracing the positive sides of your trauma responses to increase self-soothing.
Having a Positive Orientation to the Future
This is the membership in a nutshell. The work that happens in each class is about supporting you become more you and a little less of the pain the CPTSD has created in your life. When you become more you, you only look forward to becoming even more you in the future and that future is always positive because you are magical! If that’s not a positive orientation to the future, I don’t know what is.

Being a part of this group is a critical part of my recovery and I’d recommend it to any CPTSD kid who resonates with Elizabeth’s energy. If you need a lifeboat, this could be it. ~ A.
The tools Elizabeth teaches in her classes are so helpful! Things like the ladder of trust, advanced bitches bingo, using jewelry or charms as protection and defense, and just the overall concepts help me look at my own personal issues in a new way and feel like I can handle them better. ~M.
This is helping me heal. You will find much wisdom and authenticity wrapped up in glitter, cuss words, and a bow. ~A.

About Elizabeth:
I have been doing this work professionally for 17 years, but what really sets me apart is I’ve been healing my own CPTSD for 34 years. A lot of people can teach about trauma, but there’s not that many people out there that can say they’ve been diligently working to recover themselves for that long, but I can. I know what it’s like to be in a very dark, lost and broken place and I know how to get out and that is the subtext of every class I teach. I am a trauma, codependency, addiction and grief expert. That’s what this book club is all about – accelerating your progress so you can get to the business of being you, sooner.
Disclaimer:
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, but this is not therapy. It is a psychoeducational and coaching group.
